Research Profile
Practice-based media educator and visual communication researcher working across moving image, spatial perception, and interactive visual systems. My work investigates how motion, viewpoint, and technological mediation shape interpretation in screen-based and spatial media. Recent projects extend this into generative and AI-assisted workflows, examining authorship and decision-making in human–machine collaboration. Across teaching, installation, and time-based practice, I develop media systems that translate perception, language, and interaction into responsive visual form.
Research Areas
- Spatial Media & Perception — motion and viewpoint analysis in screen-based and environmental imaging (2018–Present)
- Interactive Kufi — sensor-driven typographic installation exploring language as spatial behavior (2025–Present)
- Generative Image Systems — AI-assisted image production and collaborative authorship workflows (Ongoing)
- Aerial Imaging Studies — high-altitude perspective as a tool for spatial interpretation and mapping (2017–Present)

Teaching Practices
My teaching integrates conceptual thinking with technical production. Students move between analysis, making, and critique, learning to treat tools as systems rather than software. Courses emphasize experimentation, iterative prototyping, and adaptation to evolving media technologies, preparing students to operate across disciplines and unfamiliar workflows rather than within fixed platforms.
