Reading the atmosphere

Kuwait: Now translates environmental conditions into a living image. The landscapes are aerial photographs, not a live camera; the time of day selects which one you see. Motion, light, and haze are artistic interpretations, not a physical simulation.

Wind

Particle direction and speed follow wind at one Kuwait City coordinate. These are not street-level flow measurements.

Light

Calculated solar elevation chooses between daytime, dusk and night photographs of the city, and blends between them as the light changes.

Heat

Temperature and sunlight drive a shimmer rising along the horizon. It is an artistic reading of heat haze, not an optical simulation.

Haze

Aerosol optical depth shapes the atmospheric veil. Humidity has its own percentage bar; it does not automatically become fog. AQI is displayed separately.

What the data represents

Weather and air quality come from Open-Meteo models, not a sensor on this building. The air-quality model is regional (about 45 km). The replay uses hourly model estimates; smooth animation does not imply new measurements every second.
